I'm very happy with my new Lenovo IdeaPad. It has a nice feel, screen brightness is great, touchpad can be very "touchy". It is fast and sound quality is fine for my needs. It does come with A LOT of "bloat ware" that took me awhile to get off and Windows 8 does take a bit of time to find everything, but the OS has nothing to do with Lenovo, or this model laptop. I would definitely recommend this one. Great deal for the money.

I'm a college student that has been debating whether i should get a Mac, PC, or ChromeOS. I suggested to my girlfriend that she should go with ChromeOS based on her usage, and so far she has loved it. I, on the other hand, am more of a power user so I feared a Chromebook was not going to be enough. Boy was i wrong.

I won't go over what is a Chromebook, and how is it different. Look that up if you're not sure.

Why the Lenovo IdeaPad? it came down to design (I am a sucker for a good design) keyboard, trackpad, and the touch screen. I own a Galaxy note 3, and with the announcement of Android apps on Chrome, i decided it would be best to acquire a Chromebook with a touchscreen.

Touchscreen: When i received the Chromebook it needed to install an update, prior to that though, the touchscreen wasn't as responsive. After the IdeaPad updated, the touch experience has been extremely solid. It's a bit difficult to use at times because ChromeOS isn't really made for touchscreens, however, i believe Google will make this much better with time. The dual mode stand is very useful. It enhances the Chromebook experience and really allows it to stand out from the crowd. No complaints here.

Keyboard/Trackpad: This was a major factor. I tried other keyboards and trackpads on Chromebooks and didn't enjoy the experience at all. When Lenovo used the same AccuType technology that was used on their other products, i knew they paid more attention to this detail than other OEM's did. The layout takes some getting used to. I constantly make errors here and there, but that has to do with getting used to everything. I will get better with time and more usage. Definitely the best experience so for on a Chromebook.

Hi, ive been fallowing computers for many years and consider myself knowledgeable in tech.

IdeaPad S415

Its one of my favorite portable 14"touch notebooks in the market. And so the reason for this review is to clear up a few mistakes made by amazon.com
IdeaPad comes with few different variants, each type ranges in price according to the processor used inside.

This particular S415 Model:59385555 has CPU: •AMD E1-2100 Dualcore 1 Ghz; this processor is from slowest Tier AMD mobile cpu in the market. Corrected value for this slower version is; $379 base to $299 sales prices.

In contrast S415 Model: 59385549 has CPU: •AMD A6-5200M Quadcore 2.0 GHz Processor; processor that is 2 Tiers above AMD E-1 above. which is +400% faster in performance compared to E1-2100!
This is also priced at the normal range between $479 base price to $399 at bestbuy

I hope this notice can help some customers in buying a machine worth of the dollars they'd pay for.

ps ive reported this error to amazon and cross my fingers they adjust the price.
